Cross-promotion

Hey kids, if you didn't see the request posted by D-Lo on MySpace due to them advertising Justin Timberlake shooting a load of semen on the back of Dane Cook's neck in a brand new romantic comedy, I wanted to pop it up over here as well:

Ever want The NonPros to play the cover of your choice? Here's yer chance to let us know.

I gather you gathered that by the blog title...but we'll continue anyway. Sorry about the DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince reference, I admit it was a bit of a reach. Actually, if you like "Parents Just Don't Understand," then I just gave you an example of a suggestion.

Time is of the essence. We're playing soon and have little time to prepare, so blog us early and blog us often. Give us a song and if it's obscure, give us a reason why it'd make a good addition to the NonPro Catalog. Just reply to this post, or drop us a private message. We ain't heavy. We yo' brothers.

Who are you to refuse us?

Adam D.
So yeah, get on that... either post a comment below or e-mail us at the link on the right.

Gig Update and Random Junk

I don't want to say it's been a long time since we rock and rolled.....cause that would be very Faygo...but we're set to play The Warehouse on September 20th and I'm excited. The last time we played a real show was back in April of this year.

We've been working on our album and it looks like we're getting to the end of the process. I hope we can release it by the end of this year. It would make a great Hanukkah gift for our ever-growing Jewish fan base.

I've ran several titles for our album by the other NonPros and no one seemed to like my ideas:

"Together Again: For the First time" (Okay, I admit this sucks, and it seems familiar too.)

"The Sorrow and The Shitty" (This was my fave, but it sounds like an unreleased Sex Pistols album)

and

"Back on The Street" (You know, with a picture of us back on the street.)

Back around St. Patrick's day, I had this great idea for the hook of a song I was running by the other guys and it was called originally enough, "The NonProfessional Boys." Then I realized I totally ripped this song off:

I even wanted to sing the verses in French....must of reverted back to my childhood or something.

See ya at The Warehouse.

Madden about you...

Damn, I wish I cared about Madden football and had friends that did the same (or friends at all LOLZ FAG). But seriously, I used to sit around playing SNES Madden for hours with friends and the way the game looks this year, well, it's just not comparable is it? Comparing a plastic stick of memory with what a DVD can hold isn't a contest. But alas, I am backlogged with games, music, and professional knitting.

As an aside, here's a comment I read about the game that I enjoyed:
The game is god awful, recievers dropping routes for no reason, the tackling sucks, Qb's actin like retards, need i say more, the game is shit, took it back an hr after buying it.
Hell yeah, one hour (or hr, guess he was in a hurry to type). So he drove home, opened the game and started it up. That would take at a minimum 15 minutes unless you live in the mall under the counter at the tuxedo shop where the loud Jamaican fatty works. You play for 30 minutes, call the game a "fag", and take it back. In this brief 30 minutes of game time he was able to summarize that the game was completely broken.

Fucking awesome, I need this guy to write reviews of games for me. 30 minutes or less, tell me if something is shit. Movies too, I don't care if we're watching Roots. Let me know within a half an hour if I need to hunt down Levar Burton and stab him in his face, making it necessary for him to wear his Geordi specs or whatever the hell those were.
Welcome to the homepage of the NonPros. Interested in seeing us play around the area or learning more about us? Check out the links on the left to get to our Facebook and MySpace page, as well as our upcoming shows.
